H-1 crash leaves man in serious condition

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A crash on the H-1 Freeway temporarily stopped traffic Tuesday morning.

Around 10:20 a.m., all eastbound lanes were closed just after the Kaonohi Street overpass while first responders assessed and cleared the scene.

According to Honolulu EMS, a 37-year-old man was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

After about 40 minutes, the impacted vehicles were moved to the shoulder and the roadway was reopened.

No word yet on what may have caused the crash.
