Annual POP Fishing, Marine and Seafood Expo returns to Honolulu
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A free event for mariners returns to Honolulu this weekend.
The annual POP Fishing, Marine and Seafood Expo is happening at Pier 38 on Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We’re excited to once again welcome the community to Pier 38 for our annual Fishing, Marine and Seafood Expo,” said Neil Kanemoto, General Manager of POP Fishing and Marine.
Attendees can expect storewide savings at POP Fishing and Marine, live demonstrations, family activities, industry vendor booths, and food.
“This event is one of our largest sale events at POP, but more importantly, it’s an opportunity to showcase fishing in Hawaii, and continue to celebrate Hawaii’s ocean lifestyle,” Kanemoto said.
The event features marine safety demonstrations, keiki casting, gear tips and insights specific to Hawaii fishing.
For families, there will be giveaways and games, like the keiki ice dig.
The first 100 keiki can get a free bamboo fishing pole.
Some of the vendors coming to this year’s event include Shimano North American Fishing, Big Water Trailers, and Daiwa USA.
There will also be a signature poke dish from Ahi & Vegetable, Island Squeeze Lemonade, and more.
Free parking will be available onsite at Pier 38.
