HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii News Now First Alert Weather Team has declared Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as First Alert Weather Days due to the potential for heavy rain and flooding.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu says a combination of several disturbances will bring what it calls “exceptionally moist air” from the south over the eastern end of the island chain Monday night, expanding over all islands Tuesday.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms will be possible from late Monday night through Thursday afternoon. A flood watch may be issued shortly.
