Police shut down alleged gambling room in Nanakuli

Officers reportedly recovered 14 gaming machines and $16,259 in cash.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department shut down an alleged illegal gambling operation in Nanakuli on Thursday.

Officers from HPD’s Narcotics/Vice Gambling Detail executed a search warrant at a property on Hakimo Road.

With the help of officers from the District 8 Crime Reduction Unit and the Specialized Services Division, they reportedly found and recovered 14 gaming machines and $16,259 in cash.

No word on any arrests at this time.
