12-year-old riding e-bike critically injured following crash in Ewa Beach

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said a 12-year-old is in critical condition following a collision in Ewa Beach on Thursday afternoon.

Officials said it happened just after 2 p.m. near the intersection of Keoneula Boulevard and Kapolei Parkway.

EMS said the boy was riding an e-bike when he was hit by a car.

Paramedics arrived on scene and administered advanced life support.

Details on what led to the crash are unknown at this time. HNN has reached out to officials for more information.

Police blocked off Kapolei Parkway in both directions between Kekaiholo Street and Kaioli Street, but it has since been reopened. An investigation continues.
