Celebrate the 73rd anniversary of this popular Haleiwa business with $1 shave ice

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Matsumoto Shave Ice just marked 73 years on Oahu’s North Shore.

The shop on Kamehameha Highway in Haleiwa opened on Feb. 13, 1951.

To celebrate, this Saturday, the store is selling $1 shave ice with any three flavors between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

You can also purchase a limited edition T-shirt, scratch-off card giveaway.

There will also be a special appearance by Hawaii boy band Crossing Rain.
