HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A luxury tour yacht is stuck on the rocks off Lahaina, the state DLNR Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation said.

The 120-foot Maui Princess ran aground in shallow waters off Lahaina around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

But the U.S. Coast Guard says they are not responding because the crew was not in distress.

DOBOR said the owner is trying to hire a tug to attempt to remove it at high tide.

There was no immediate word on possible injuries, coral damage, or fuel leaks.
