HFD responds to apparent drowning in West Oahu

KO OLINA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a report of a missing swimming in West Oahu, Monday evening.

It was reported that a 72-year-old female visitor was snorkeling in the lagoon area near Paradise Cove.

The first HFD unit arrived at 6:04 p.m. After conducting search operations, the woman was found at 7:02 p.m., wedged in a large shoreline crevice.

She was found unconscious, not breathing and without a pulse. She was then brought to EMS personnel where she was pronounced dead.
