Authorities identify fisherman who died after being swept out to sea at Yokohama Bay

YOKOHAMA BAY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The fisherman who died Tuesday after he was swept out to sea by a large wave along Yokohama Bay on Oahu's west side has been identified. 

The Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as 58-year-old Keith Hirata from Kapolei. 

According to officials with Emergency Medical Services, Hirata was swept away with two other people. The other two both managed to make it back to shore, and were taken to a hospital in serious condition.

A High Surf Warning remains in effect for north and west facing shores.
