Two wildfires keep Oahu fire crews busy

Honolulu fire crews were kept busy Sunday after wild fires broke out in Kunia and Maili.

The Maili blaze broke out at around 2:30 p.m. near Kulawae Street. The fire is near a residential area, but no evacuations had been ordered. The fire reportedly has spread up the mountain.

Earlier off Kunia Road, firefighters tackled a blaze near the Hawaii Country Club. Emergency crews responded just before noon and brought the fire under control in a few hours. The flames charred about five acres. The cause of that blaze remains under investigation.
