Fire investigators are looking into what caused an Aiea home to go up in flames early Sunday morning.

Honolulu fire officials say the fire broke out just after 4 a.m. at a home on Lii Ipo Street.

Some ten fire units staffed with 35 personnel responded to the one-story single-family home.

When firefighters got there, they found the home fully involved in the fire and began extinguishing the blaze.

Around 4:30 a.m. the fire was brought under control and fully extinguished around 5:40 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Fire officials say the blaze caused an estimated $280,000 in damage, two neighboring structures also suffered some heat and water damage.

Firefighters decided that the origin of the fire is undetermined, meaning there is insufficient information to identify a specific cause.
