HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Good news, Hawaii: Chick-fil-A is coming to the islands.
The company announced plans this week to open its first Hawaii location on Oahu.
"Like all Chick-fil-A restaurants, this location will be owned and operated by a local resident and employ approximately 80 team members," the company said, in a news release.
There's no word yet, however, where the fast food eatery will be — or when it will open.
Chick-fil-A is known for its waffle fries, shakes and, of course, hand-breaded chicken.
The company, founded in 1967, has more than 2,200 eateries across the United States.
