Astronomers Working on Maunakea Talk about Breakthrough Discovery

A team of astronomers at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope on Maunakea, recently announced a very exciting discovery – a newborn planet bigger than Jupiter that is very close to a young star. This discovery represents for the first time that such bodies can be generated at very early stages of planetary formation.
