OCCC inmate fails to return from work furlough pass

Honolulu authorities are searching for Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) work furlough inmate Isaiah Kaisa, who failed to return to the facility Sunday morning.

Kaisa did not return at the scheduled time of 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Honolulu Department of Public Safety. State Sheriffs and Honolulu Police were notified.

27-year-old Kaisa is 6'3" and weighs 259 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He is serving time for Forgery 2, I.D. Theft 3, Unauthorized Entry into a Motor Vehicle, and Ownership of a Prohibited Weapon. When found he will face an additional escape charge. His next parole hearing is scheduled for June of this year.

Kaisa is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program. Inmates in the work furlough program are either actively seeking employment or working in the community. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
