Lihue road work extended through Friday

LIHUE (HawaiiNewsNow) - Road work is expected to extend through the end of the week on Kauai, due to delays from inclement weather.

Crews will be conducting roadway and waterline probing along Haleko Road, around Pua Loke Street, in Lihue, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Friday.

Drivers should expect lane shifts and possible lane closures in the area.

The Department of Public Works and its contractor, Kaiwa Construction, will continue their work, weather permitting.

Drivers will be directed to alternate routes and are encouraged to plan for extra time.

Flaggers will help direct traffic in the work zone.
