Carlos is weakening and could be downgraded to a tropical depression by Tuesday.

An above normal south swell has peaked and will begin a slow decline. Surf heights remain elevated this afternoon and are expected to hold at advisory level for south facing shores through tonight. Surf should fall below advisory level Thursday, and continue dropping. No significant swells from the south are expected through early next week, although small, moderate period swells will prevent surf from going flat.

Winds may diminish once again Sunday and Monday, as the remnant of Hurricane Linda passes north of the islands. The returning trade winds will deliver just a few showers to windward areas, while today's lighter winds may allow some interior and leeward clouds to drop a few showers. The bulk of the moisture associated with Linda will likely pass north of the islands, with afternoon sea breezes once again fueling a few leeward showers.
