Trade winds will continue through next week as a ridge of high pressure stays far north of the main Hawaiian Islands. The current windy trades will be dropping off a notch or two on Saturday, with further easement to mainly moderate speeds by Monday of next week. This condition will then hold through the rest of next week. Showers riding in with the trades will favor the windward and mountain areas with a few drifting into the lee side of the smaller islands.
