Winds around the islands have become gentle ahead of a weakening front approaching from the northwest. Afternoon sea breezes have allowed clouds and showers to form over interior areas. These clouds and showers will diminish tonight as land breezes develop. A band of showers along the remnant of the front will reach Kauai by tomorrow morning, then spread across the rest of the islands through the day tomorrow. A strong new high will produce breezy trade winds starting tomorrow. The trades will push remnants of the frontal band over mainly windward areas through Monday night. The weather will turn drier by mid-week as the frontal remnants dissipate.
