On today's Sunrise Field Trip we went to Holy Family Catholic Academy to jump rope. Lacy and Steve went to participate in the Kids' Heart Challenge (Jump Rope for Heart Event). This is to raise awareness of heart disease, get the students to exercise and raise money for charity.
Steve heads to Kapolei Middle School to learn more about a wood shop class, which is actually a STEM class. The focus of this assignment is to create dragsters.
UFC Gym Waikele has a summer camp you can still register for to get your children active. They get a chance to try jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing and other martial arts disciplines. Lacy and Steve went to check it out in this week's Sunrise Field Trip.
The Sunrise crew tags along with Kamaaina Kids to Dole Plantation to check out the pineapple, the train and the huge maze.
During the trip, kids learned how the fire station operates and the importance of fire safety.
