Terry Hunter reviews JOJO RABBIT

The new movie called JOJO RABBIT is the story of a ten year old German boy who joins the Hitler Youth movement during World War II. The film is both a zany comedy and a serious drama. But for me, the odd mix of the silly and the serious in JOJO RABBIT just doesn’t jell. The film gets good laughs when it pokes fun at the Nazis but then it awkwardly shifts to being serious about the atrocities Nazis committed. The director calls his film an “anti-hate satire.”
