MANELE BAY, Lanai (KHNL) - On the island of Lanai, there is a relationship between the resorts and the surrounding landscape.

The Four Seasons Resort at Manele Bay caters not only to visitors, but to the natural architecture.

The resort is surrounded by historical Hawaiian archeological sites that date back hundreds of years.

"And we make sure we take care of those," said resort manager Ed Linsley. "And in some cases we just let nature do it's part, we leave it alone."

The resort also educates tourists about the importance of the archeological sites, and the significant role they play in modern times.
