HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - If you've got a 2000 Honda Civic ... sorry. Your car is the most commonly stolen model in Hawaii.

That's according to a newly-released report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau, which said that Accords and Civics manufactured before the introduction of anti-theft technology continue to be hot targets for thieves.

The second-most stolen car in Hawaii last year was the 1996 Honda Accord. Rounding out the top three: 2008 full size Ford pickups.

The bureau notes that preventing a car theft is oftentimes about sticking to the basics: Lock your car, consider installing a warning or immobilizing device, and look into whether a tracking device is right for you.

It's the second year in a row that the 2000 Honda Civic has been named the most stolen car in Hawaii.

Here's the full list of the top 10 most stolen cars in Hawaii last year:

  1. 2000 Honda Civic
