Construction continues on the new $96 million Kona Courthouse

KONA, HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) - Construction continues on the new Keahuolu Courthouse in Kona.
The state judiciary provided a sneak peek into the $96 million courthouse Tuesday.
Located on Kamakeha Avenue, the building sits on 10 acres of land and has 140,000 square feet inside.
The three-floor courthouse will include a self-help center, driver's education, district court, circuit court and family courtrooms. In addition, it will also feature a law library along with nearly 300 public parking stalls.
The courthouse is expected to open in the late summer of 2019.
