LAIE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body on Oahu's North Shore Friday afternoon.
HPD says the call came in around 2:15 p.m. The body was found in the river that leads to Hukilau Beach, just ten feet from the shore.
The man who is believed to be in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police would not say if foul play was involved, but they did say circumstances appeared suspicious. Homicide detectives have begun investigating.
Honolulu's Medical Examiner has not yet released the man's name or official cause of death.
