Call centers up and running for concerned residents, visitors with questions

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A call center has been set up for Oahu residents with questions or concerns ahead of Lane's strongest impacts.
The call center is set up as a part of the city's Emergency Operations Center. As of 6 p.m. Thursday, city volunteers answered almost 230 calls from residents with questions regarding Hurricane Lane and how to prepare.
Visitors and locals can direct questions to volunteers by calling 768-CITY (808-768-2489).
The call center will be open 24 hours a day until the EOC is deactivated.
A similar service is available for Maui residents. They can call 808-270-7285.
