HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - What's it like to be in the middle of Hurricane Lane?
NOAA's Hurricane Hunters are flying into the storm regularly and are giving residents an incredible view of the powerful storm.
The group flew into the eye of Lane on Tuesday when it was a Category 5 storm.
The Air Force Reserve's group of hurricane Hunters also flew into the storm Tuesday.
They spent eight hours locating the center of the storm and measuring the strength of the winds as well as Lane's pressure.
By Wednesday morning, Lane had weakened slightly to a category 4 hurricane.
