HILO, HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) - All state offices on Oahu and Kauai will be closed starting Thursday as Lane approaches the islands, and non-essential state employees are being told not to report to work.
The governor already closed all state offices on the Big Island and Maui County starting Wednesday.
The closures are expected to run through Friday.
Non-essential state workers are being granted administrative leave and should not come to work, the governor's office said.
Essential state employees are required to report to work. They include emergency coordinators, disaster response workers and employees who work in crucial operations or services, such as hospital workers or corrections officers.
