BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island firefighters responded to several fires on Tuesday, including one that completely destroyed a house in Kailua-Kona.
At around 3 p.m., 21 firefighters responded to a blaze that broke out from a home on Kiwi Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found the 600-square-foot home fully engulfed.
They extinguished the flames by approximately 4 p.m.
No one was home at the time and there were no injuries.
The fire caused an estimated $90,000 in damage.
Firefighters also extinguished two structure fires in Hawaiian Paradise Park: one on 37th Avenue and another on 15th Avenue.
There were no injuries in those fires.
The cause and damage estimates are still under investigation.
