KAHANA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Kahana seawall project in West Maui will start this week as planned.
The green light for the project was given Wednesday after a judge denied an injunction to stop construction fronting the Hololani Resort Condominiums.
Two preservation groups sued to block the project which is meant to prevent further erosion after expressing jurisdiction concerns over the shoreline.
In a previous report, opponents of the project called developers of the project "sneaky" by leaving the public out of the planning process.
The work to build a 12 foot high wall could begin as early as Wednesday.
