UNITED STATES (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's the moment that many die-hard DC Comics fans have been waiting for — the trailer for Aquaman, featuring Hawaii's own Jason Momoa, is set to release this weekend.
Aquaman director James Wan released new movie posters for the highly-anticipated film on Monday, along with a tease to the trailer for the movie set to make its worldwide premiere on Saturday at the San Diego Comic-Con.
The movie surrounds the story of Arthur Curry, a half-human, half-Atlantean outcast who teams up with a fellow Atlantean to stop his half-brother from waging war with the "surface world".
The movie is also Momoa's first titular role in the DC franchise after playing Aquaman as one of five main superheroes in DC's Justice League last year.
Aquaman will swim into theaters on December 21, 2018.
