Organizers warn of bogus Merrie Monarch merchandise

HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Organizers with the Merrie Monarch Festival are warning the public about bogus festival t-shirts.

Merrie Monarch organizers posted on their Facebook page on Saturday saying they have nothing to do with the bootleg merchandise.

Their products are only being sold at the Merrie Monarch office and festival venues this week.

The 55th annual Merrie Monarch Festival kicked off Sunday with a Hoolaulea, but the competition begins Thursday.
