Popularity of Biki bikes is booming — and not just with visitors

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The numbers are in and Oahu appears to be rolling with Hawaii's new Biki Bikeshare program.
More than 360,000 trips were taken in the first six months of the program.
That's more than double the rides in the initial three months.
And nearly two-thirds of all the trips were taken by residents on Oahu.
Bikeshare Hawaii says the numbers show it's providing viable transportation for kamaaina and visitors alike.
