HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Last year, the Hawaii Community Foundation gave more than $6 million in scholarships to college bound students. Applications for scholarships this year are already being accepted. Eric La`a is Senior Development Officer with the Hawaii Community Foundation. Bella Finau is one of the scholarship recipients.
Eric talks about how the Hawaii Community Foundation helps, assists and wants to not only GET you into college, but to get you thru college to getting that degree that you seek.
Bella shared how it's changed her life; having to focus on her family, while still getting her education and degree. (Bella is also a member of the Hawaii Recording Group Na Wai Ho'olu'u O Ke Anuenue - balancing all of that? WHEW!)
