WAIANAE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A popular Waianae Beach got a little cleaner over the weekend thanks to volunteers who helped remove about 900 pounds of debris.

Approximately 70 volunteers walked, dived and paddled to collect trash inside and outside of Pokai Bay.

George Kalilikane, affectionately known as Uncle George, has been giving stand-up paddle boarding lessons at the bay for the past six years and says it gets cleaner and cleaner with every cleanup.
