Convicted former HPD sergeant sentenced to 60 days

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former HPD Sergeant, Anson Kimura was sentenced to 60 days in jail for accidentally shooting a bartender at the King's Sports bar in Honolulu in April of last 2015.
The woman was critically hurt.
Kimura pleaded guilty to assault in August.
As part of his sentence, he must also serve four years of probation and complete 200 hours of community service.
The defense said Kimura had the support of community members who described him as an outstanding officer.
