HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii residents are being targeted in the latest phone scam involving someone claiming to be from the State judicial courts.

The caller will tell the person their license has been suspended due to unpaid parking violations and that the suspension can only be removed by paying over the phone with a credit card.

The State judiciary says this is a scam and the court will never call residents about official business.
