Billy V 3/2/16: Mele's Mother's Day show, Chris Rock, Amy Hanaialii, Jake Shimabukuro

Entertainment: Mele's Mother's Day Show, Chris Rock, Amy Hanaiali'i & Jake Shimabukuro

Earlier this morning we talked about the huge lineup for Mele Apana's 10th annual Mother's Day concert with special guest, Kealii Reichel, and that the tickets went on sale yesterday.  Over 800 attended last year and sold out a week before event.  We have found out since this morning; the event has officially sold out in one day!  Billy V will make an appearance as this event has served as an annual reunion between Billy V and his former morning show radio host Mele Apana.

Chris Rock really did help the Girl Scouts raise $65,243 on Sunday, after sending them out into the Academy Awards crowd to sell their tasty treats. TMZ says it contacted the Girls Scouts, who said $2,500 was raised and that the cookie sale stunt was just part of a skit. But on Tuesday there was a press release issued by the Girl Scouts saying that, no, there really was a $65,000-plus haul.

Na Hoku Hanohano award winning musician Amy Hanaialii is reminiscing.  She posted this photo of herself and her brother from back in the day.  The caption reads "Well this is where it all started, my brother Eric and I had a band called the " Top Hats" rocking it out on Kuapapa St., Kihei circa 1979."  She also posted this photo of her tutu, Jennie Hanaialii Napua Wood. Dancing hula in Waikiki in 1927.  She's the 2nd from the right.  Amy's caption read "I love and miss my Tutu."

We've been following Jake Shimabukuro on his travels through Japan.  Now he's back home.  He posted this photo with his kids watching TV with the caption "So nice to be back home."

We are sharing a video that is going viral; usually cats don't like water.  Not this one.  We found this video online of a "cat-spa"?
