WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A UPS worker just landed himself on Santa's naughty list.

Video of him tossing and kicking dozens of packages during a stop in Waikiki on Wednesday afternoon is going viral. The video spread on social media so quickly that it caught the attention of the company's headquarters on the same day it was shot.

"We took corrective action with him, and we've also engaged with the customer at the delivery location," said UPS corporate spokeswoman Susan Rosenberg in a phone interview from Atlanta. She would not say if he was suspended or fired.

It is unclear what was in the packages, or what damage the goods sustained.

However, the loading zone where the incident occurred was for the building known as "Luxury Row" -- an area of Waikiki that contains Tiffany & Co., Coach, Saint Laurent Paris, Chanel, Gucci, Montcler, Bottega Veneta, Miu Miu and Hugo Boss.

Nearby construction workers who shot the video say the driver became frustrated when he couldn't maneuver the vehicle. He then took those frustrations out on the packages.

At this time of year, UPS hires many seasonal employees to help with the holiday rush. It has gotten so busy in Hawaii that local managers are now going out on delivery routes, the company says.

Despite the driver's poor behavior, Rosenberg says it should not be a reflection on the employees at the company.

"It's certainly not representative of the people who are working hard for UPS around Hawaii and also around the world," she said.
