HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Honolulu Police officer was arrested for the second time in exactly one month.
Police sources tell me, Alan Ahn, a 9-year veteran of the force, was arrested this morning in a drug raid on a McCully home.
Ahn had been arrested on July 13 for abuse of a family member but the Honolulu prosecutor's office declined the case because the victim was not cooperative. That victim, Tiffany Masunaga, is Ahn's girlfriend. She was with him when the SWAT team used flash bangs to surprise the sleeping couple.
Neighbors tell us the McCully street was lined with police cars this morning while the Narcotics and Vice units executed a warrant.
Both Ahn and Masunaga were arrested for numerous drug crimes. Neither has been charged. Masunaga is 9 months pregnant and was checked out by doctors after the raid.
Outside the home, there are numerous cars including a Porsche SUV and a Maserati. Neighbors wondered how the 28-year old Masunaga could afford the luxury rides.
"I don't know what kind of job (she has)," says Alice Kojima, "I think to myself what the hell she doing for business."
Kojima and other neighbors say they would always see Officer Ahn's police car also parked outside the home.
As part of the Traffic Unit, the 54-year-old Ahn, had a take home patrol car.
He had his police powers restricted after the July arrest.
