City Council hires new housing coordinator

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu City Council has hired a familiar face in local politics as its new housing coordinator.

Peter Boylan starts his new job next month and will report to Honolulu Council Chairman, Ernie Martin.

Boylan most recently worked as an aide to Big Island Mayor, Billy Kenoi and served as spokesmen for Colleen Hanabusa's 2014 senatorial campaign.

He was also a member of the late Senator Daniel Inouye's staff.
