Meeting to be held for Halona Street Bridge Replacement project

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Department of Transportation will be holding a public meeting to share information on the Halona Street Bridge Replacement.

The bridge crosses over the Kapalama Canal on the H-1. The purpose of the project is to improve Halona Bridge and its approaches to maintain a canal crossing on Halona Street that remains a safe and functional component of the regional transportation system for highway users.

DOT says it is currently in the environmental compliance and preliminary engineering phase.

The meeting is scheduled at the following location and time:

Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Likelike Elementary School Cafeteria
1618 Palama Street
Honolulu, HI 96817
