Fourth of July fireworks shows in Hawaii

Ala Moana Beach Park

The free fireworks spectacular, launched from Ala Moana Beach Park, will begin on Saturday, July 4 at 8:30 p.m. Spectators can tune in to FM 92.3 KSSK for a live fireworks soundtrack that accompanies the show. 

* Kailua

The annual Kailua Fireworks and Airshow will take place in Kailua Bay on July 4. The acrobatic "Twilight Air Show" performance by Clint Churchill and Hank Bruckner begins at 6 pm. The aerial fireworks barge show fires at 8 pm. Click for more info.

* Turtle Bay

Fusion of flavor, festivities and fireworks at Turtle Bay Resort, as the popular food truck rally known as Eat The Street hits the country and fuels a full day and night of celebrations. Fireworks show starts at 8:30 p.m.  

* Ko Olina Resort

Fireworks show starts at 8:30 p.m. 

Fireworks display provided for resort guests. The public access beach parking closes at sunset. Street parking at the Ko Olina Resort will be prohibited.

* Schofield Barracks

The holiday fun begins a day early this year with a special July 3 concert headlined by country artist Sam Hunt (Click for more on the concert).

On July 4, enjoy a free concert featuring Michelle Branch and Collective Soul. Fireworks show starts at 8:30 p.m.

Open to military personnel and their guests only 

* Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam

Fireworks show starts at 9 p.m. Free activities include, petting zoo,  Xpress Train, batting cage, airbrush tattoos, car show, performance and autograph session by Red Bull streetbike stunt rider Aaron Colton. Also - Free concerts by Dishwalla & O.A.R.

* Battleship Missouri Memorial

Fireworks show begins at 9:05 p.m. Event begins at 6 p.m. and includes beer and food available for purchase from Gordon Biersch, raffle tickets and kid activities. Bring your own food and drinks.


*  Front Sreet, Lahaina

A fireworks display over Lahaina is scheduled annually at 8pm from a barge offshore of Front Street. Fireworks can be viewed from charter boats in Lahaina Harbor and on land throughout Lahaina Town. The Lahaina display is the only public fireworks display on Maui.


* Lihue - Kauai Hospice 26th Annual Concert in the Sky

Great music, food, fun and fireworks are planned for the 26th Annual Concert in the Sky which is the annual Kauai Hospice fundraiser. The event will be held at Vidinha Soccer Field, located by Vidinha Stadium in Lihue. For more information call (808) 245-7277.

 The firework display starts at 8:35 p.m.

* Kekaha:  

The Kekaha Fourth of July Celebration event held at Faye Park is sponsored by E Ola Mau Na Leo O Kekaha. From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., there will be entertainment, contests, talent show, food booths and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. 


* Waikoloa

Fireworks at Waikoloa Bowl are scheduled for 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Entrances open at 4:30 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring beach chairs and blankets. Coolers are not allowed. This event is alcohol-free, drug-free and smoke-free.

* Kailua-Kona

The 20th Annual Kailua-Kona Independence Day Parade will take place at 6 p.m., starting at the Kekuaokalani Gym/Pool Complex on Kuakini Highway. It will proceed south on Kuakini Highway, to Palani Road, to Ali`i Drive, and then south on Ali`i Drive to Walua Road just past Coconut Grove Marketplace. Following the parade, at 8 p.m., there will be a Fireworks display over Kailua Bay.

* Hilo

Fireworks show is set to begin at 8 p.m. 

Family activities around the Hilo Bayfront, including games, cook-offs, music and more. Hawai`i County Band concert at Mo`oheau Bandstand at 7 p.m, followed by fireworks at 8pm over Hilo Bay.

Lihiwai Street will be closed throughout the day and Bayfront Highway will be closed from 6-10 p.m.Got big plans for the Fourth of July?
