HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - With summer just around the corner, children will be out of school and looking for fun activities while on vacation. During the summer months, the opportunity for children to hit the beach or the pool is greater than usual. In order to be safe in and around the water, it is vital that children learn to swim.

At Leahi Swim School, they teach their students life-saving skills while catering to their individual needs in a safe, comfortable, and fun environment.

Swimming lessons aren't just for kids. Surprisingly, there are also a number of adults that don't know how to swim. Leahi Swim School also offers a range of lessons to adults, or for those who might be looking to conquer their fear of the water or just to brush up on their stroke techniques.

To register for adult lessons, those interested would need to call the Pearl City location at 456-4506 for scheduling and availability. To register children for lessons, parents/guardians need to call the location they wish to register at. They offer group lessons (capped at 5 children per class) for students ages 3 and above. For children under the age of 3, as young as 6 months old, they offer parent-assisted classes through our Parent Aide program (capped at 6 child-parent pairs). Lessons are 25 minutes and are offered both weekly and biweekly for convenience during the summer months.
