HFD investigates pickup truck fire in Nuuanu

NUUANU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Firefighters from the Honolulu Fire Department quickly extinguished a pickup truck fire near Kawananakoa Middle School early Friday.
The truck, located on Funchal Street, went up in flames shortly after 2 a.m. According to Capt. David Jenkins of HFD, one fire truck arrived on scene at approximately 2:20 and crews were able to extinguish the fire by 2:35.
No injuries were reported, Jenkins said.
HFD is continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
Hawaii News Now also reached out to the Honolulu Police Department for more information, but did not receive a response.
