HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Dan Grabauskas, executive director and CEO of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, returned to Sunrise for an update on the rail project. Among many topics, he addressed the status of the general excise tax extension bill on the governor's desk, businesses affected by construction and the traffic issues that have resulted.
He also took questions submitted to our Facebook page, including what HART has planned for the number of rail cars, stops and the traffic flow in town.
In addition, he showed us a photo of the shell of one of the cars that will arrive in Hawaii in the near future.
