Former UH student Tyler Strong found not guilty of sexual assault

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former UH student Tyler Strong has been found not guilty on all counts relating to an alleged sex assault in a dorm room on campus.
Prosecutors had contended that Strong raped a fellow freshman he was friends with inside his dorm room last September.
The alleged victim took the stand during the trial and testified that Strong pinned her down and forced her to have sex while they were cuddling.
Strong, who also testified, said that the sexual encounter was consensual.
