HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - If you've been to Hilo, then you've also likely been to Ken's House of Pancakes. The restaurant's quite popular and normally open 24/7. So imagine the surprise when 'The Rock' walked in and couldn't get any pancakes.
"We're here in Hilo, Hawaii, my home away from home, The Ken's Pancake House open 24 hours a day. On the wall my grandfather, the High Chief Maiava, my brother BJ Penn, the Scorpion King, I come all the way over here..and it's closed. Hahaha," said Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson on his Facebook page.
The Rock was in town but the timing just wasn't right. Hawaii News Now called Ken's and they said Johnson stopped by on the day their bi-annual cleaning and repairs were taking place.
Johnson said on Facebook he was in Hilo visiting family.
