JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii (AP) - The military will briefly close most gates to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam while troops conduct an exercise.

Base officials say the gates will close for about 15 minutes starting at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The Halawa, Makalapa, Nimitz, O'Malley and Kuntz gates will close. The Ford Island and Borchers gates will stay open as normal.

The drill won't affect the Ford Island and Makalapa compounds. Base annexes at West Loch, Lualualei and Wahiawa will also be unaffected.
