HPD has released Fletcher's mug shot and the 63-year-old's bail has been set at $250,000.

A 64-year old Makakilo man is dead, his 63-year old best friend is in jail accused of the murder.

Honolulu Police Sources say Paul Loya was found inside apartment A of the complex on Ahiwa Street Thursday afternoon. He had cuts all over his head and broken glass was scattered around his body.

Neighbors say the victim was very friendly and had lived there for about a year.

"(He'd) always go up to my home and knock on the door," says Herminio Ramil, who lives in apartment B, "My grandchildren, he always gave them chocolate."

But Ramil says trouble started a few months ago when Loya allowed his friend, Danvers Fletcher, to move in.

"They are best friends, Paul invited the friend," Ramil says Fletcher would often get drunk and slam beer bottles into the ground.

Fletcher was still inside the apartment when police arrived. Sources say he mumbled to the officers before he was arrested for second degree murder.
