Police locate missing tourist with Alzheimer's

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - [Update:] 

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department want to thank the public for their assistance in locating Yumiko Yamamoto who was last seen in the Waikiki area on February 8th, 2015.

On February 9th, 2015, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Yamamoto returned safely to her hotel in Waikiki. She is fine and has been reunited with her family.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public's help in locating Yumiko Yamamoto, who is visiting from Japan and suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

She was last seen by her family on February 8th at approximately 8:30 p.m., when she walked away while dining in the Waikiki area.

Family and friends are very concerned for her safety and well-being.

Yamamoto is 59-years-old, 5'1" and weighs 100 lbs. She was wearing a gray shirt, white plaid pants, blue slippers, brown shoulder bag.
